Trigger Point Therapy
All treatments are geared towards you, focusing on the specific problems you are experiencing and working together to identify and resolve any underlying conditions.
As much as I am in the business of health care, I am also in the business of people and understand that needs, approaches and comfort levels vary from person to person. I love working with people of all ages and with a variety of issues but have sizable experience working with athletes and seniors.
Working with a range of athletes, including those at the professional level, you can trust me to take the right approach to get you back in the game. As an athlete myself – dancing for 10+ years and playing Ultimate along with other field sports – I understand the importance of your rehabilitation that ensures you get back to your peak performance.
My background working with seniors is two-fold. Prior to pursuing my RMT designation, I worked at the Ministry of Transportation developing educational sessions on how to adapt driving to suit the changing skills, physical changes and needs of older drivers. Within my designation, I gained significant experience providing treatment to a variety of seniors within the Wellington Hospice in Guelph and a variety of local retirement and long-term care homes helping me hone my skills in pain management, tissue health and maintaining mobility and comfort. With this unique viewpoint and experience, I understand the needs of seniors to maintain an active lifestyle and what is required to help you stay mobile.
I established my designation at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH) which is has a reputation for advance curricula in both knowledge and research.
